PS3 Error Messages
During the past few days, many PS3 users have encountered the PS3 8001050f error message. Although this was a problem on Sony’s side of things and has now been fixed, it is still very useful to know the most common error messages and what to do if you encounter one of them. Here are some of the most common PS3 error messages you are likely to see if you are a PlayStation 3 user:
Error Message 0717102. This is a Domain Name Server error message and usually means that the server is not currently available.
Error Message 8002b241 – This error message means that the Digital Visual Interface (DVI) has no audio.
Error Message 80029024 – This means that the console was unable to connect to the specified IP address. Often this signals a problem with your internet connection.
Error Message 80130203 – Generally means that the required ports used to store information are not available. PS3 can, however, generally connect to the internet when this message is displayed.
Error Message 80710102 – The PlayStation is unable to connect to the router. Check your IP information to make sure it is correct or reboot your router to see if the issue is resolved.
Error Message 80710541 – The common “connection to the server timed out” error message. Check your internet connection.
Error Message 80710B23 – Means the PS3 network is either down or overloaded. This means there is something wrong on Sony’s side of things, and often little you can do at home to fix it.
If you encounter an error message that is not listed above, or if you are unable to resolve the issue, you should get a copy of a good PS3 repair guide, such as PS3 repaired. A quality home repair guide will walk you through all the necessary PS3 troubleshooting steps to fix your PS3 yourself at home, usually in under an hour.
